Gabage Collection and Tree Planting in Kamukunji Eldoret Experience

On 17th Of April, we all gathered in Kamukunji Slum for a little clean up exercise, It was like trying of our faith to some of us but thank God he took care of that situation.It really a word of thank you, thank you, thank you, to all of you who made it possible by availing your selves (Asanteni sana)

This is just a beginning people as we all can see how making our environment better requires something more than just words and committees,we were very moved by one Slum dweller mother, who was so thankful and one could tel by here words,"tunafurahi sana kwa kukumbuka mtaa wetu wa Kamkunji mungu awabariki sana" translated "we are so delighted as dwellers in Kamkunji for remembering us by doing cleaning,God bless you"

The youths from the area put together their energies and made the nylon paper landscape clean and ready for tree planting.Its amazing to see people really happy to get involved in this.We are convinced that its possible to make a change.

Sorry if the picture isn't nice to gaze at!! our intention was to make sure the settled stench and the stagnant water harboring Malaria in the trenches got disturbed for the better, since we made sure there was a free flow of water in the trenches.

Much more needs to be done, are you willing to be part of the team?

Then came tree planting, we did all we could to populate the Sum with tree seedlings, with good care and nurturing them it appears this will be an awesome garden.

Its getting near as we see the day approaching,garbage collection and tree panting in Kamukunji is nine days from today.

We do expect to see everyone who will make it there.Please do expect to move up and down a Kamukunji grounds, and expect lots of inspiring artists like "D-R Gooya" "J-mwenyewe" "Ochi Praiz"and a couple of interesting people whom yo dont wanna miss.

Are you going to be among the ones who will stand up and be counted?

GABBAGE COLLECTION AND TREE PLANTING

Its such an awesome thing to gather our energies together this coming April the 17th At Kamukunji Grounds In Eldoret Town (Kamukunji is the third largest slum in Eldoret town)

All volunteers are welcome to participate in garbage collection and tree planting, thanks to all of you who are standing with us to make our world a better, better place.Our very own singer and brother who was born and raised in this slum kamukunji "Martin Guya a.k.a D-R Gooya" , who travels all over the world spreading the uplifting message of JESUS CHRIST through his music and Preaching, will be there to share his story.
